Faye Yan Wu (b. 2005, Chengdu, China) is a multidisciplinary artist currently based in Los Angeles, CA. She is pursuing a BA in Fine Art at the University of California, Los Angeles, with a minor in Digital Humanities. Her practice spans painting, installation, and moving image, centering on her feminist perspective and identity as a Chinese individual navigating the global context. Traversing the cultural and geographic currents between East and West, she seeks grounding and selfhood amid movement. The tension between fluidity and stillness flows through her work like an undercurrent. It is at once a lucid gaze upon the power structures woven into culture and history, and a personal reverberation that breathes between entanglement and release.
